Before recording, confirm your Zoom Recording Account Settings are correctly calibrated to your preference.
(For select Ivey Faculty and Staff)
Confirm cloud recording settings are modified for your event or meeting. Zoom can record multiple views at a time (Gallery View, Speaker View, Shared Screen).
Cloud recordings may require extra processing time that may take up to 24 to 72 hours, depending on the recording size.
Record a Zoom Meeting
First, open the Zoom Desktop Client,
Join an existing meeting or create a new meeting
Once the meeting is open, select the recording icon in the meeting controls.
Click Record on this Computer to create a local copy on your computer. To record to the Zoom Cloud Server, select Record to the Cloud
An icon will appear in the top left corner that the session is recording
Once the session is complete, click end meeting, a notification will appear that the video is processing.
To access the Zoom local recording, follow the paths listed below.
- Windows: C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Zoom
- Mac: /Users/[Username]/Documents/Zoom
- Linux: home/[Username]/Documents/Zoom
To access a cloud recording, open https://ivey-uwo.zoom.us/recording
