As part of our continued efforts to protect Ivey’s digital information and identities, your password will need to be changed every six months. You will receive an email advising you to change your password as your expiry date approaches.
We recommend proactively changing your Ivey password through MyOffice https://myoffice.ivey.ca prior to your password expiring.
Log in OWA using your current Ivey Credentials
Select Gear icon and Change Password
Enter your current password and new password and confirm new password
When creating a new password follow the password rules below.
Password Rules
- Password comprised of at least eight characters
- Password characters from three of the following four categories:
- English uppercase A-Z
- English lowercase a-z
- Numbers 0-9
- Special Characters e.g. !,$,#,%
- Cannot be one of your last 5 passwords
Once you have changed your password, you will need to enter your keychain and update any saved credentials that use your Ivey account to your new password
Upon logging into any Ivey applications such as Learn or Salesforce and wireless, it will prompt you change your password if you have saved it previously.
Updated Your Phone with Your New Password
It is important to update your other devices such as phones or tablets. Your device should prompt you to enter your new password. If you do not update your devices, your account could be locked out by those devices for attempting to connect with your old password.
If Your Password Has Expired
Once your account has expired, the next time on connecting to UWOSECURE-V2 Wireless will generate the below prompt. If you are already connected, it will not prompt until the next time you leave the wireless range and then try to connect again. For instance, if your account expired on Monday, it might not prompt until Tuesday when you come back to Ivey and try to connect again.
On Outlook 2016 for Mac OSx, it will bring up a prompt “Mail could not be received at this time” about 10 minutes after your account has expired and it will not accept a password until you change it and enter the new password.
If your password is expired and you try to connect to the shared drive, it will notify you that your password must change but does not provide a prompt for it.
On logging into OWA, it will force you to change your password.
Connecting to VPN will prompt Authentication Failed but does not provide reason or allow you to change your password or enter a new one
On Mac Mail, it will prompt for your Password and will not authenticate with your current password. You will need to go to https://myoffice.ivey.ca/ and follow the above steps to set a new password.
