Setting up your Ivey email on your phone can make it easier to send, receive, and manage Ivey emails.
This page contains instructions for adding your email to:
- Android devices
- iOS devices
- the Outlook mobile app
If you have a forwarding email set up, adding your Ivey mailbox to your phone will result in receiving two of every message. Both your Ivey email and your forwarding email will receive a copy of every message. We recommend that you turn off email forwarding before setting up your Ivey account on your phone.
Setting up your Email on Android
Follow these instructions to set up your Ivey email on your Android device. This process may look different on different devices.
- Open the Settings app.
- Find and open Account settings for your device. This may differ depending on what Android device you are using.
- Tap "Add Account."
- The app will ask you to select the account type. Select "Exchange."
- Enter your email and tap "Next."
- Enter your password and tap "Next." Pop-ups may appear with redirect requests asking to send info to https://email.ivey.ca or https://email.ivey.ca/owa/. Select "OK."
- The "Incoming server settings" screen should automatically fill in the correct information with the exception of the Server. Make sure that the Server field says outlook.office365.com, not ivey.ca. Tap "Next."
- Your device will prompt you to accept remote security administration. Select "OK."
- The next screen will show more details on the remote administration permissions. Select "OK."
- Enter a name for the account and tap "Next." Your Ivey email is now set up on your Android device.
Setting up your Email on iOS
Follow these instructions to set up your Ivey email on your iOS device:
- Open the Settings app.
- Open the "Accounts & Passwords" settings.
- Tap "Accounts."
- Select "Add Account."
- Select "Exchange" from the list of account providers.
- Enter your Ivey email address and a description of the account. Then tap "Next."
- A prompt will ask if you want to sign in using Microsoft. Tap "Sign in."
Your device may ask you to configure your email manually. If that happens, fill in both the Email and Username fields with your Ivey email, fill in the Server field with outlook.office365.com, and fill in the Password field with your Ivey password. - If you clicked "Sign in" and did not have configure your device manually, the Ivey log in page should load. Enter your password and sign in.
- A prompt will ask for permission to access your mailbox and read your profile. Tap "Accept."
- Your device may take a moment to verify the information. You will then be redirected to a final screen where you can select what features to enable for your account. Tap "Save," and your Ivey email will be set up on your device.
Setting up the Outlook App
If you don’t want to use your device’s default mail app for your Ivey mailbox, you can use the Outlook mobile app by following these steps:
- Download the Microsoft Outlook app from the App Store or Google Play Store by searching "Microsoft Outlook."
- Open the app and tap "Get Started."
- Type in your Ivey email address and tap "Continue."
- When the Ivey login page appears, enter your password and sign in.
The Outlook app will highlight a few features for you, and then the app is ready to use.
Adding an account
If you already have the Outlook app downloaded and set up with another email, follow these instructions to add your Ivey email:
- Open the menu and tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- In Settings, tap "Add Account."
- In the pop up that appears, select "Add an email account."
- Type in your Ivey email address and tap "Continue."
- When the Ivey login page appears, enter your password and sign in.
