The main Ivey building on Western's Campus has 20 classrooms. 15 80-seat rooms, and 5 50 seat rooms.
All rooms are outfitted with modern AV technology including:
Two Projection Screens with bright Projectors
A 21.5" control panel for controlling the room
Motorized blinds
Lighting presets
Multiple inputs including HDMI, Document camera, and a DVD Player, an auxilliary HDMI connection and audio connection for playing back music from a smartphone with a headphone jack.
An Integrated Room PC is available for use if you do not have your laptop with you. The Room PC supports full touch capabilities. Press the button at the bottom/centre of the touch panel to activate full screen touch mode. Press it again to return to the Room control interface.
All rooms have a front 1080P camera that is connected to the room PC for use by Zoom, Skype, or any other Windows-compatible video conferencing solution. The front camera can also be used by our Mediasite recording system to record the class. A rear 720P camera can be used to record the "pit" area where Faculty teach.
If you wish to use your laptop to project Wirelessly, an Air Media device is available. Just select Air Media on the touch panel to activate and download the software from the IT Help Desk main support site at http://support.ivey.ca.
All functionality can be controlled from the 21.5" Touch panel located at the Lectern. Lighting and blinds can also be controlled with the press of a button.
