What is Adobe Connect?
Adobe connect is a product from Adobe that lets users log into a website and chat with other uses, share a PowerPoint presentation or other applications, communicate with a microphone and webcam with a remote person, or watch a remote person make a presentation. You are able to create an online meeting and send meeting requests to people via e-mail with a simple invitation message and a link for the user to click on. Your online meeting can even be recorded for later playback.

An account for you can be arranged through the Ivey IT Helpdesk at 519-661-4196 or email@example.com. You may also contact us via our support site at http://support.ivey.ca. You will then receive a username and password to logon.

What are the requirements for Adobe Connect?
Adobe Connect requires the Adobe Flash player plugin from Adobe and a web browser. Users of Windows XP, Vista, and 7 can use the most popular browsers with the Flash plugin, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and FireFox.
Macintosh users can use Safari and the flash player for Macintosh.
If you do not have the Flash plugin you will be prompted to install it automatically after visiting http://connect.ivey.ca.
If you want others to see you or hear you need a webcam and a microphone on your computer. Of course you will need an internet connection, preferably high-speed. You will need speakers to listen to a presenter.
